STEAM Grants Program
In an era where innovation and technological advancement are paramount, the Newark Educational Foundation is proud to introduce a groundbreaking STEAM grant program in partnership with the Newark Unified School District (NUSD) and the Newark Rotary Club. This initiative seeks to empower educators and inspire students across all grade levels by providing the necessary resources to implement engaging, hands-on STEAM learning experiences.
This grant aims to provide some assistance by supporting the students and staff of Newark Unified School District (TK-12) in the areas of science, technology, art, and music.


General grant requests can be used for a wide range of science, technology, music, and/or art projects and activities directly benefiting NUSD students, including:

Project supplies and materials

Equipment
-
Books, Software, Videos
-
Guest speakers and artists
-
Environmental
-
Lunch time games
-
Clubs
Application Guidelines
-
Grant Period: Oct. 15, 2025 - May 15, 2026; or until funds have been exhausted.

Must directly benefit a school project or activity for grades TK - 12 in the NUSD.

Must align with Newark Educational Foundation focus areas (science, technology, art/music).

Request Ranges: $50-$500 each.

One request per staff member.
Application Process

Submit application.

Wait for email approval notification (approx. 1-2 weeks) before spending funds.

Once approved, reply to email approval notification with attached receipt.

A reimbursement for the approved project will be issued once receipts are received.

Please note that the applications will be processed in the order received, until all grant funds have been exhausted.
